The New Home Company Announces Grand Opening of Avanti, Luxury Residences in the Heart of Calabasas, California

CALABASAS, Calif. (April 20, 2016) – The New Home Company (NEW HOME; NYSE: NWHM) today announced the opening of Avanti, a new mixed-use community of 72 luxury flats and retail shops on a landmark property in the heart of Calabasas, Calif. A public Grand Opening for Avanti, featuring the debut of two model homes, is set for this weekend, Saturday, April 23 and Sunday, April 24, 2016.

Demand for the homes at Avanti, elegantly designed by Robert Hidey Architects, has been strong. After a successful pre-sales program launched last year to accommodate those looking to purchase during the construction process, Avanti will welcome its first residents this spring. Shortly after its model home Grand Opening celebration, Avanti plans to release a new phase of residences to its priority list.

In addition, with pre-leasing underway for the approximately 11,000 square feet of retail space at Avanti, the first businesses are expected to open this summer. These include SoulCycle, the world’s premier full-body, indoor cycling workout. By combining a unique mental component of inspirational coaching, curated music, and a full-body workout on a bike, SoulCycle has reinvented indoor-cycling and created an exercise movement.

Avanti is the only luxury mixed-use community in Calabasas. The 72 residences range from 2,109 to 2,662 square feet of living area with two to three bedrooms, spacious private decks and balconies and semi-private elevators with penthouse access directly into each home. Individual residences include Wolf appliances, Kohler fixtures and frameless European cabinets. Prices for the homes begin in the mid $1 millions.

The community’s resort-style amenities include an oval-shaped swimming pool and spa with sun deck, outdoor fireplace area and club room with fitness center and gathering space.

Built with authentic formal Italian architectural designs, each residential building contains a lobby with lounge areas for residents and guests as well as a secure parking garage on the first level. The mixed-use building has been designed to LEED Silver building standards with apartments above and two levels of parking below.
